4th Annual Sandpiper Open Golf Tournament
2007 Event Raises $10,000 for Agency
On June 22, 2007 the fourth Sandpiper Open Golf Tournament took place at Ocean Resorts Golf Club. In keeping with the tradition of the tournament a Putt For Cash started the day of golf followed by 18 holes of golf. Jeff Fields and staff at Ocean Resorts Golf Club maintain their commitment to the tournament and have invaluable insight for producing a great tournament for this agency. Thank you very much gentlemen. Once again the weather favored us with mild temperatures in the high 80's, a light breeze, and just a few tufted billowy clouds in the sky. Cannot complain too much there!
Once again the Fruitland Redmen Lodge participation was key in making this event so very successful. Thanks again Fruitland Redmen for your continued support of the tournament. PFIZER, Inc. was a major sponsor of the tournament this year. PFIZER'S support of the Epilepsy Association of the Eastern Shore tournament, programs, and work of this agency for individuals with epilepsy and developmental disabilities in the region is unparalleled. Several special event holes were on the course this year. There was a “longest drive” and “closest to the pin” hole(s). The possible prized hole-in-one 2007 KIA Spectra prize was made possible by courtesy of Sherwood Motors.
